Latest News: Deadline Extension for NSGP FY 2024 Sub-Applications

We are pleased to announce that the final deadline for the NSGP FY 2024 sub-applications has been extended to Monday, June 10th, 2024 at 4PM. This extension provides additional time for you to complete and submit your applications.

Please ensure your submission includes the following required documents in a single email:

PUBLIC NOTICE 

Notification is hereby given to the public of the intent of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to provide assistance to the Christian Church of American Samoa located at 4156 Faga’itua Village, Pago Pago, AS (114.26758, -170.61248), for the installation of a camera system, impact resistant doors and gates with locks and security lighting. 

On April 15, 2024, the American Samoa Department of Homeland Security held a dedication ceremony for its newest vessel at Pago Pago harbor. This vessel will serve as a valuable asset in protecting and maintaining our coastal areas. Among the esteemed attendees were Honorable Governor Lemanu P. S. Mauga, PC Mauga T. Asuega, Reverend Papalii Laulii Alofa, Coast Guard Lieutenant Mike Spotifino, Consul Brian Fata Kaio, Director of ASDHS Samana Ve’ave’a, along with his staff and several other directors.

King tides are back for the middle of the week this week. Due to the King Tides combined with southeasterly winds, minor coastal flooding may occur along vulnerable shorelines of American Samoa. 

The high tide times for Tuesday through Thursday for the Tutuila/Aunuu and Manu'a regions are shown below.
