To prevent terrorism and related crimes, thereby providing a safe and secure environment for the people of American Samoa.
The Office of Homeland Security (OHS), a component of ASDHS, manages a suite of federal grant programs for which ASDHS serves as the State Administrative Agency (SAA). The grant programs under the purview of OHS are funded by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security – Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to assist the territory in preventing, protecting against, mitigating, responding to and recovering from acts of terrorism and other threats.
