One of the Department’s top priorities is to resolutely protect our territory from terrorism and other homeland security threats by preventing nation-states and their proxies, transnational criminal organizations, and groups or individuals from engaging in terrorist or criminal acts that threaten the Homeland. In recent years, drug/human trafficking, white collar crime and criminals have increasingly adopted new techniques and advanced tactics in an effort to circumvent homeland security and threaten the safety, security, and prosperity of the Samoan public and our allies. The rapidly evolving threat environment demands a proactive response by ASDHS and its environment demands a proactive response by ASDHS and its partners to identify, detect, and prevent attacks against the American Samoa.
To coordinate and investigate crimes involving illicit drugs, human trafficking, white collar crime, terrorism and corruption in government operations. To gather intelligence and information regarding drug trafficking and elements of organized crime and other illegal activities in the Territory and share the same with other law enforcement agencies in the territory.
